Auro-3D Update

Auro-3D is an immersive audio coding used in some Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, especially music. Auro provides it with an exclusive optional Auro-Matic in-house upmix, very nice for enlarging stereo and multi-channel audio tracks up to 7.1.4.

Adding Auro-3D decoding and its Auro-Matic upmix to your SMYTH Realiser A16 or A16 SE requires the prior license for DTS:X, as Auro tracks are encapsulated in DTS HD MA.

If your A16 or A16 SE is not equipped with one, you can order your DTS:X license as a bundle at a preferential duo price.

You have three options for enabling Auro-3D on your SMYTH Realiser A16 or A16 SE:

• - The economic version "do it yourself" aka DIY , where you buy here the license (s) only (s). The procedure requires your micro-SD card, its USB adapter and some round-trip manipulation between the A16 and your computer.
• - The version : you drop off the A16 at AV-in in Paris and we do it for you , which includes the software update of your A16 (if necessary) and the backup and restoration of your Presets.
• - The version : we do it for you, with shipping and recovery via Chronopost (labels provided, basic insurance) of your A16. The shipment must be made in careful packaging, preferably the original one. This variant is valid for metropolitan France only (contact us for abroad).

So you have a total of 6 variants to add Auro-3D to your SMYTH Realiser A16 and A16 SE depending on whether or not you have DTS:X on your device.

Note: Auro-3D and Auro-Matic work in 7.1.4. You can use Dolby Atmos sound room capture, including higher number of speakers. The supernumeraries will remain silent.

Note 2: There can be no cancellation on this update procedure. Once the license has been activated on your A16 and A16 SE, it is final, but you can however disconnect decoding and/or upmix at any time in the menu of your Realiser.
