The SMYTH Realiser A16 by Smyth-Research is the world's most advanced Hi-Fi headphone amp/processor/DAC:

It immerses the listener in acoustic configurations featuring up to 24 virtual speakers on a 360° sphere, for optimal enjoyment of 5.1 and 7.1 soundtracks, as well as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro 3D.

To achieve this, it relies on Smyth-Research's patented SVS process for rapid capture and perfect headphone reproduction of real acoustics using supplied binaural microphones. Here in a 24-channel version, in real-time. Dozens of room captures can be loaded, stored, and exchanged in the SMYTH Realiser A16 via a private online club, over the internet, using a micro-SD card.

The SMYTH Realiser A16 also relies on a latency-free head-tracking system to fix the position of virtual speakers in space. Typically, this ensures that dialogues remain centered on the screen, even when turning one's head with the headphones on. This is a key point for the fidelity of the rendering.

The SMYTH Realiser A16 is primarily a home theater device for listening to multi-channel audio at home, without a dedicated room, from mono to 24 channels, including stereo, 5.1, 7.1, 7.1.4, 9.1.6, or 15.1.8, without the need for cumbersome speakers or generating noise during listening sessions.

Like its predecessor, the SMYTH Realiser A8, the Realiser A16 can also be used by sound professionals (click to access video testimonials) to monitor and mix multi-channel audio. From stereo up to 24 speakers, on headphones.

It works for 2 listeners, each with their own independent Hi-Fi headphones (not supplied, free choice, see below) for settings, especially volume.

It connects simply to your TV with an HDMI eARC cable, or it can be inserted between your screen and a TV Box, game console, Blu-ray, or Ultra HD Blu-ray player using HDMI cables, replacing an expensive, complex, noisy, and cumbersome dedicated home cinema audio system with potentially much superior acoustic quality.
